How
to Discover Your Own (or Your Child's) Soul Contract If you listened to Connie Kaplan's fascinating interview broadcast on August 17th 2008, and would like to know how to work out your own or your child's Invisible Garment Pattern, and Soul Contract, this article contains important information and links to assist you in this process. Your "Soul Contract" - which we also call your "Invisible Garment Pattern" - is a specific configuration of some of the Thirty Principles (for more on that, click here). This pattern or garment helps you remember your Divine Nature and your deepest purpose. It reminds you of the energies you came here to live. It gently urges you to become that perfect expression of your soul's intent, and to wear your garment with grace. According to this teaching, you design your specific garment's pattern before conception. The seams are sewn during the mother's pregnancy. At the infant's first breath, destiny begins to unfold and the child becomes the official bearer of the gift of the soul. (See also, Why Are We Here?) The weave of your garment has twelve fibers. Each one contains a specific energy and purpose that will define the way this incarnation is lived. You will come into incarnation as an emissary of your soul's intent. Your primary principle is represented by the placement of the sun in your astrological chart at the time of your birth. Each of the other planetary positions represents a principle that helps you achieve your primary purpose ("Sun Principle"). You can know your principles because their numerology corresponds to the numbers on your astrological chart. For example, if your sun is at 5 degrees of a sign, you know that you are primarily working with the Principle #5, which is the principle of Extension. Each planet has a degree, and each degree tells you what principle that planet represents. If you are a skeptic about astrology, then be assured that this is neither a traditional astrological reading nor does it reflect traditional astrological perspective. The position of the planets at the moment of your birth is the best record available to help us understand your unique spiritual patterning. In other words, the stars do not determine your fate, but their relative positions at the moment of your birth do record your agreement with life. To construct your own garment pattern you can use the chart at the bottom of this page, which has blanks to fill in. Just take it step by step and you can do it. Or you can contact us to order one (email ck@generosityincorporated.com). Obtain an accurate astrological chart from a reliable source. (If you want to "do it yourself," a shareware version of a good astrology program is available at http://www.halloran.com/astwin23.htm). This shows the positions of all the planets at the moment of your birth. Preferably, the chart will be a Tropical, Placidus Chart. If that is not possible, than any chart will do except a Vedic chart, which is based on a different system. If you aren't familiar with the planet symbols, have someone identify them for you or find them on an Internet astrology page (e.g. http://www.astrologycom.com/zodiac2.html). You don't need to study traditional astrology, though - this is just to decode the chart. On your natal chart, which is circular, each planet symbol has a number, followed by a symbol for the zodiac sign followed by a second number next to it. For example, (Sun symbol) 5º (Sign symbol) 11' means " your Sun is at 5 degrees (of the zodiac sign) 11 minutes" You are interested in the first number after the planet symbol. It will be a number between 0 and 29. Copy the first number onto your chart next to the name of the planet, as follows: Planet Number Principle Sun 5 However, if the number after the astrological sign is larger than 55, that means the planet is almost to the next degree, for example, 5º 57' , which means "Sun 5 degrees (zodiac sign) 57 minutes" Since there are 60 minutes in a degree, this is actually almost 6 degrees. So you would record the Sun as being Principle #6 instead of #5. Do this with each planet and position. When you've done this, go back to fill in the third column, writing in the name of the corresponding principle. Remember, each of the 30 principles has a number, 0-29, as described in "The Thirty Principles." (Click here to go to that page and print it out.) You now have your unique garment's pattern - your Soul Contract! A simple chart can be made with the following. Just cut and paste it into a word document page, then print it out. and fill it in as directed above.
